The latest update to the esparagus firmware installer brings a nice change for the TFT-equipped boards: a new “now playing” screen and no dependency on the weather configuration in Home Assistant.
New “now playing” screen activates whenever the player is part of the active speaker group that is playing audio at the moment, and apart from album art will display current track progress and volume state.
Also, volume changes now get the new fancy overlay display state

Also, you can change display rotation now directly from the device config page in HA:

The last piece: now the default configuration shared via the configuration library or web installer would not rely on the weather sensors, which you would not have by default. In case you want them, they are shipped as separate configs, so commenting them out of the configuration would enable them once again.

Please reach out if you find any bugs; they are very much expected 🙂
